LINK kicked off the new year with media coverage in both online and television outlets. Dr. George Siemens sat down for an interview with Campus Technology on technology, data-centric models, and the equity of information. Dr. Siemens addressed the defining question of LINK throughout his interview: What does it mean to be human in a digital age? He highlighted that not only is it concerned with student success, but the new knowledge processes that are present in education and how to address the needs of all students.

Next, Dr. Catherine Span sat down with WFAA Channel 8 News (ABC affiliate) to discuss her current study into self-regulation and attention that she is conducting involving children and adults.

Additionally, LINK received attention for its work with Boeing and NASA to help understand the impact of social networks on online students grades and completion rates. This study was recognized by both the news center at the University of Texas at Arlington, CBS Channel 11 News, Eureka Alert, Microsoft News, and the City of Arlington News.
