Falling

Falling – Watercolor from an original photograph. This is simply the side of an old barn on a country farm. The boards might look twisted and weird, but that is how the original barn looked. This was created in a summer painting course in college – we would go to some location around town on Monday to take pictures, do a one hour photo development that night, pick one to paint the next day, and spend the rest of the week painting it.

Waterfall

I use this one a lot in my personal websites. Its one of my favorite spontaneous photos I have taken. This is on the road down from Darjeeling, India. The rainy season had started, so there were a few waterfalls along the road that came to life. This one was one of the prettiest, and someone I got a perfect shot out of the bus when it stopped to let another vehicle by on the treacherous one lane, two direction roads through the foothills of the Himalayas.

Upward

Picture that I took in a summer painting course while we were looking for subjects to paint – we would go to some location around town on Monday to take pictures, do a one hour photo development that night, pick one to paint the next day, and spend the rest of the week painting it. This is one of many I didn’t paint. I believe it was at the same farm that produced the Falling painting.

Strung Gurus – Chelsea’s Chasin’ Dragons EP

Graphic Art. This is a quick cover I put together with stock art and some funky fonts. Strung Gurus was a collaboration between Michael Knott of Aunt Bettys and Dennis Danell of Social Distortion. Sadly, Danell passed away before the project was completed. This EP is all that has been released. You can stream or purchase the EP at blondevinyl.bandcamp.com/album/chelseas-chasin-dragons-e-p.

I also put together a back cover for a physical release, but that never happened:

Looking Outside

Looking Outside – Watercolor from an original photograph. Even though the title is opposite of Looking Inside, it’s really not even from the same city. This is from another photograph of Crawford, Texas. This building is now gone, too. This picture speaks to me of looking outside of our lives to the interest of others. We find that life is a lot brighter when we look to others interests.
