- Review Syllabus
- Create a Gravatar
- Create social media accounts on Twitter, flickr, google, SoundCloud
- Introduce yourself to #lt101 in twitter
- Create a blog for your work (WordPress is a good place to start, but other services like Tumblr will work fine) and register it at lt101
- Participate in the #lt101 twitter space and/or join the Google+ Community (coming soon)
- Check the ds106 toolbox for what software you might need (this is for the first module, but also helpful for the rest of the class)
- In preparation for the first module, try ds106 assignments or create new ones
- In preparation for the second module, find some potential xMOOC courses to take through EdX, NovoEd, Open2Study, or other xMOOC providers. Moocs.co is a good listing of various xMOOC providers.

- Follow the student work page to see everything your fellow classmates are doing.
