Smartphone and Social Media Use

This study sought to investigate the complex interplay among social media, smartphone use, and interpersonal relationship formation in order to determine how various types of online activities relate to important outcomes across all domains of functioning. Laboratory assessments of physical and mental health, physiological and objective indicators of attention and memory, and academic performance were taken from undergraduate students. Data collection began in April 2017 in the Psychology Department at the University of Texas at Arlington. Researchers:
