K-12 Analytics

The PK-12 Consortium brought together schools worldwide to participate in a research agenda to maximize the effectiveness of technology, and to develop data modeling algorithms to increase achievement, well-being, and academic performance. The project started with identifying the available data sources, developing the collection infrastructure, and identifying policy issues. The concluding product was predictive models, early warning systems, and dashboards to inform school leadership of achievement progress, as well as real-time prediction of potential failures such as academic failure, drop out, and school violence. Parallel to this project was the development of appropriate interventions, as well as identification of proactive practices to increase school effectiveness and decrease school failures. Researchers:
