Overview:

Pre-instructional Activities:
The lesson will begin with a motivational activity to gain the learner’s interest.  The activity will begin with a short presentation on how nutrition can affect quality of life.

Content Presentation:
After the learners are registered for the class, the rest of the activity is self-guided.  Questions about Internet searches or the appropriateness of sites found need to be directed back to the online previous lessons.

Learner Participation:
The learner will guide themselves through web searches for the proper information.  Learners will be responsible for recording facts that they need as they conduct the search.  Learners are also responsible for going through the lessons and activities online.

Assessment:
The learner will demonstrate to the instructor that he/she is successful by completing all required elements on the Lesson 5 grading rubric.

Post-Instructional Activities
Learners will write down all meals and snacks that they consume during the next week.
