Instructional Goal with Performance Context

Goal: The student is expected to explain the relationship between nutrition, quality of life, and disease.

Given a completed nutrition chart and an updated nutrition plan (CN), learners will be able to examine the relationship between nutrition and quality of life (B). They will complete blog entries that will be evaluated for facts contained and substantial insights into relationship between nutrition and quality of life. (CR).

1.   Analyze nutrition analysis worksheet for lessons learned

Given a completed nutrition analysis worksheet (CN), learners will be able to analyze the worksheet to determine lessons learned (B).  The learner will contribute these ideas to the blog entry to be written (CR).

2.   Analyze nutrition plan for lessons learned

Given an updated nutrition plan (CN), learners will be able to analyze the plan to determine lessons learned (B).  The learner will contribute these ideas to the blog entry to be written (CR).

3.  Create blog entry

Given a blog tool (CN), learners will be able to record insights into lessons learned for this activity (B).   The learner will complete blog entries that will be evaluated for facts contained and substantial insights into relationship between nutrition and quality of life (CR).
