Lesson 8: Nutrition Plan Analysis
Lesson 9 »

Instructional Goal

The student is expected to explain the relationship between nutrition, quality of life, and disease.  An analysis of nutrition charts and plans will help students gain insight into personal health.  Students will use information gained to reflect on personal health.

First Level Task Analysis

1.  Analyze nutrition analysis worksheet for lessons learned
2.  Analyze nutrition plan for lessons learned
3.  Create blog entry

Domain of Learning

The type of objective for the overall learning goal for this instructional lesson is intellectual.  Learners will be analyzing everything they learned in this lesson and then blogging about those lessons.

Peer Evaluation

The goal statement was review by a peer who has experience in the field of health education studies.  She has been teaching both adults and children for the past few years.  As for education, my peer has a graduate degree in health education.  My peer was able to follow the first level task analysis of my lesson.  Since this is more of a wrap up and reflect lesson that caps the last three lessons, my peer did not have much feedback on this one – it was fine the way it was.  I made some adjustments to match the language that was changed in the previous lesson.
