Surprised to see this exercise as one of the competencies for week 2. I would rate it as very difficult and something to be tackled towards the end of the course rather than the beginning.

@Chris – agreed. We included it here because it was a key aspect of our (my) view of the course – i.e. understanding impacting factors and scope of learning analytics and then moving forward with application of tools and then revisiting it in week 9
