Assessment Activity

Think about how you could create alternative assessments for your context. After identifying one, determine whether you need to change the type or mode of the assessment and think about the change. For example, if changing mode and you previously had learners turn in a mathematical calculation on a piece of paper as a quick formative check for knowledge when leaving a classroom (sometimes called an exit ticket), they could instead submit their formulas to a learning management system assignment by scanning or taking a picture with a webcam or phone. Think about any important considerations you need to take for this change. For the previous example, you would need to consider access to technology to ensure that students could submit their calculation.
