Once you finish learning about goals, objectives, competencies, and other related topic that you choose, you will probably want to document how you learned those topics. For some ideas, see this section:
<div class="supportButton" style="width:50%;">[[Garden Activity Ideas]]</div>
Additionally, the Sidewalk option might be of interest to you for review:
<ul><li>[[Sidewalk Activities|Practice Activities]]</li>\

(set: $pathway to "both")While in the Garden, you will be responsible for coming up with your own activities to learn about goals, objectives, and competencies (or any other topics you have explored). Here are a few ideas if you need some suggestions:
<ul><li>Write a blog post about what you have learned. <b><a href="https://wordpress.com/" target="_blank">WordPress</a></b> is a good blogging tool if you don't already have one.</li><li>Use a tool like <b><a href="https://web.hypothes.is/" target="_blank">Hypothes.is</a></b> to annotate articles about goals, objectives, or competencies. Also, see if you can find some actual goals/objectives/competencies online and annotate those (try <b><a href="https://via.hypothes.is/http://thepeakperformancecenter.com/business/learning/course-design/learning-goals-objectives-outcomes/learning-goals-learning-objectives/" target="_blank">this article on goals and objectives</a></b> or <b><a href="https://via.hypothes.is/http://thepeakperformancecenter.com/business/learning/course-design/learning-goals-objectives-outcomes/competencies-learning-objectives/" target="_blank">this article on competencies</a></b> for example).</li><li>Use a tool like <b><a href="https://wakelet.com/" target="_blank">Wakelet</a></b> to organize and display the various resources you utilized to learn about goals/objectives/competencies.</li><li>Look through an <b><a href="http://assignments.ds106.us/" target="_blank">Assignment Bank</a></b> for ideas for how to creativly present what you have learned in different ways (this bank was created for another course, but many of th eideas there can be adapted for this lesson).</li></ul><div align="center" style="width:100%;"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/qeNFy_Mglm8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This will work great for some, but others are not used to self-mapping their own learning pathway. Therefore, there are two options for you to utilize in learning. These are visualized like a large park that has sidewalks to guide you, as well as garden areas for you to freely roam in:
The <b>Sidewalk</b> option is a pre-determined linear pathway that will teach you what the instructor knows about the topic. For those that are new to the topic, need a refresher for the topic, or just want some structure to what they are learning, this pre-defined pathway is for you.
The <b>Garden</b> option is an open, non-structured area for you to make your own. Explore related topics, go deeper into parts of the topic you are interested in, or examine different sociocultural aspects of the topic that might interest you.
You can choose either option, both options, or mix and match or switch back and forth as needed.
To start, you can watch the instructor's introduction video on the next page.
